During the late 18th century, many of the Americans who would sign the Declaration of Independence and draft the Constitution were educated in classics and history, with an emphasis on the study of ancient Greece and Rome.
Part of our mission is to draw lessons from history, classical and otherwise, and seek novel ways to apply historical lessons.
